About HotRod Kennel
Hot Rod Kennel is based in Mesa, AZ. I have been into and breeding American Pit Bull Terriers and American Staffordshire Terriers for about 4 years. I got my 1st APBT April 2004 when she was 11 weeks old. I have been showing and raising dogs since I was 7 years old (that's 20 years of experience!). My mom has been into dogs and dog shows all my life and that is how I got involved. She started with Golden Retrievers. She then got me a Toy Poodle named Cracker for me to start showing. I trained and showed him all on my own when I was 7 years old. We then got a Komondor that we showed in the late 80's early 90's. Then from there we got PBGVs (Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen). We have had PBGVs now since 1993. I finally moved on to my own thing and got an American Pit Bull Terrier and now an American Staffordshire Terrier.
My bloodlines are mostly show lines including Sierra, Gaff, and Nevada. I have added some Razor's Edge into my breeding program to add some substance and head. I breed for better temperaments 1st and foremost then for correct structure and conformation.
